We are Taylor Bell and Lacy Buynak, certified End-of-Life Doulas and creators of The Art of Dying, a small collective that offers support, celebration, and companionship to individuals and their loved ones through the end-of-life.
For those who are near the end of their life, we help with organizing legal and logistical to-dos, plan celebrations, and/or offer comfort and care by way of our holistic services and companionship, including sitting vigil. We believe the dying process has the potential to be a meaningful expression that is unique to each individual. We encourage individuals to take ownership of this process as much as possible while providing support, education, and advocacy for our clients.
An End-of-Life doula can be an invaluable part of the circle of care alongside the medical team and loved ones. Our work is purely non-medical and helps to bridge the gaps creating a more holistic model of care. This typically involves an in-depth planning session which goes beyond the gathering of legal documents to get to the heart of what is of value and meaning, what brings comfort, and how we can foster joy and fullness of life through the end.
